Comfort Hotel Tokyo Kiyosumi Shirakawa

As in Japan the room is very small. This room doesn't even have a closet. It has a towel bar with four hangers. The room however is very clean and the staff is very helpful. I like that breakfast is included. It is not the type of breakfast you expect in the US, but there is sufficient variety to have a decent breakfast. The breakfast varies a little bit daily. Small breakfast sausages, scrambled eggs in the form of curds, yogurt, bread, raisin bun, cereals, rice, soup, are always available. In addition, you may get a bun filled with custard and other proteins such as meat balls or chicken. Another plus is that the metro train station is literally steps away and you could get to any of the tourist areas using the trains with transfers of course.

The breakfast was very good -nice variety, plenty of fruits & vegetables, good pastry/bread and beverage selection. It was tasty, easy, fast and good start to our day. We also liked that toiletries and pyjamas are provided...makes packing easier and lighter suitcases. Having the Subway station next to the hotel was super convenient and a definite highlight. The shops, restaurants, pharmacy and grocer within steps of the hotel are also pluses. We also explored the parks, shrine/temples and museum that were also within walking distance. This is our second stay at this hotel. Our first room was in better condition than this recent stay, because this room is more rundown and needs more repairs. The rooms are comfortable but are very basic/standard and lacks character. The elevators were slow. Other features we liked are the laundry machines, the maps and travel information, library with books/games/beverages/plugs/tables/chairs, the food vending machines and the complimentary suitcases storage. There BEST part of both of our stays are the staff. From the front desk, breakfast/kitchen, and cleaning staff, everyone was super friendly and helpful, always acknowledged and greeted us with smiles, and always went above and beyond to make our stay better. 🙏🏻 Thank-you and we look forward to returning soon. 🥰

Breakfast was great & plentiful selections! Housekeeping was great ensuring we had new towels daily although it wasn’t always necessary. They changed are linens when we needed change. Loved that a laundry facility was provided on the property. The Front desk staff was wonderful & always helpful despite occasional language difficulties.

Food was above expectations and the location was very convenient to the local subway station which was literally next door to the hotel. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful couldn't haven't been better. Their English was not the greatest, but their effort help came through in the end.

Location is good, Tokyo Metro line entrance is just few meters away, convenience stores such as 7/11, Lawson and FamilyMart are 5 minutes waking distance, there are many food options nearby. The room we got was clean and ran a little bit small however totally expected in this price range/location. Bed was small but usable. Room is provided with a Kettle and fridge. During our staying of 3 days we received the set of towel changes every day even even though we put the sign of do not disturb, thumbs up. Complementary breakfast is good, exceeded my expectation since i was expecting just a basic one. They can temporarily hold your luggage after check out. Staff is super friendly. There is a self service laundry option although we never used.
